What has happened to all the maternity stores in Newcastle? There is no longer a dedicated maternity shop front in Newcastle Australia. Around 18 months ago there were three maternity shops, now there are none. The maternity store in Maitland has closed, so has one of the maternity stores on the Central Coast.

There must be a demand for maternity clothing in the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast areas. There are plenty of pregnant girls around and lots of yummy mummies!

Why can’t a maternity store in Newcastle survive? Are pregnant girls wearing regular fashions instead of maternity clothes or buying maternity wear through online maternity shops instead?
