wow! that was very long now that i am looking at it! i just want to add that even though it was an incredibly long and intense labour, it was fine, and at no point did i feel the need for pain relief. it was just really hard work. (but not nearly as hard as the early months of parenting!). I am totally happy with the labour itself as i was able to do as i pleased. I have since learnt that Mitchell was posterior and it took a while for him to turn, had i known that and been in a forward leaning position rather than upright, he would have been able to turn easier and quicker and come out on his own. I have learnt a lot from this. and so with my second pregnancy, i spent a lot of time crawling and i am certain this is why Lachlan was so well positioned for a much quicker birth. I strongly recommend that every woman hire a doula or independent midwife to help them on their journey. there is so much you can learn to help your birth go smoothly.

I brought a hospital pack amongst other things and absolutly love them. barefoot do not charge a fortune and yet the clothes are still very good quality and stylish. I would reccomend Barefoot to all!

Hi,
I am pregnant and live in Newcastle and am really disappointed that we do not have more maternity stores, there is one in Merewether called the Merry go Round, that has a small section of maternity wear some new some, second hand that has been my primary place to shop for dresses etc and pumpkin patch maternity section, small selection, but that’s about it for designated maternity styles aside from your Kmart, target etc. I ordered a couple of things online from ebay and was disappointed with items from private sellers but got a lovely dress from a shop selling on Ebay for a wedding I attended. We need more maternity stores I'm sure there is a market!
