If you are planning to give birth in a hospital or birthing centre ie. not planning a home birth, make sure you have your bag packed ready to go. The last thing you want to be doing when you go into labour is trying to remember all the things you want and need to have in your hospital bag. Here is a handy checklist of things you might like to include in your bag when giving birth. I found having two bags was the best – one for the labour / birthing suite and one for after giving birth. If you have two bags, there’s no need to carry everything around with you. Remember, leave your valuables such as jewelry at home, its one less thing to worry about.
