Barefoot Maternity & Nursing clothes are made from top quality fabrics sourced predominately from Australian mills. We use natural and organic fabrics for the majority of our maternity & breastfeeding garments because of the fantastic properties these fabrics exhibit.

Cotton and Wool fabrics are more absorbent than synthetics, wicking away perspiration and breast milk making them more comfortable to wear. Cotton and Wool fabrics also allow your skin to breathe - this is really important during pregnancy and breastfeeding as your body temperature is naturally higher.

Most of our fabrics we use have natural stretch or inbuilt stretch to ensure a comfortable fit of our clothing throughout your pregnancy.

The swatches below show the colour (please note that colours may vary a little depending on your monitor settings), fibre content and care requirements for each of our fabrics. Our fabrics are durable, generally easy to care for, ie. can be machine washed and require little ironing as we understand busy mums have better things to do than hand wash & iron their clothes!
