In July 2008, we joined forces with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and established our Breastfeed in Pink Campaign in a bid raise funds for breast cancer research.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting and promoting high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.
The Foundation is committed to funding high quality research responsive to the needs and interests of women affected by breast cancer. Since being established in 1994, the Foundation has awarded more that $44.5 million to 168 breast cancer research projects across Australia. This includes two recently announced $5 million five-year collaborative grants.
Barefoot Maternity are donating $5.00 from the sale of every pink breastfeeding top to the NBCF. Our pink nursing tops are available in long sleeve, tee and sleeveless styles. Our breastfeeding tops look like a regular top but have the added benefit of enabling mothers to breastfeed discreetly. Featuring a layer beneath the cross over, a nursing mother simply pulls aside the cross over piece and lifts the under layer.
In addition to the breastfeeding tops, we are selling pink wristbands for the NBCF. These are great to put on your wrist as a reminder of which side you are due to feed from next!
